Micaela Benedicto is a registered architect residing and working in Manila. After obtaining her Architecture degree from the University of the Philippines in 1999, she worked at C|S Design Consultancy, obtaining training on residential projects in the Philippines and New York. She later worked at Lor Calma Design Associates, as part of the design team of the De La Salle CSB School of Design and Arts.  In 2005, she began her own design practice, shortly before being engaged as consulting architect at Sketchbooks, Inc., where she began work on the Fully Booked Flagship store in 2006. Benedicto set up the company MB Architecture Studio in 2008, and has since designed a range of projects from private residences to retail stores and commercial buildings.

Benedicto also works as an artist and musician.

Micaela Benedicto studied and practiced architecture and music before shifting her understanding of structure and space to visual art. Her current work focuses on photographic techniques and sculpture, exploring ideas that revolve around time, transformations and memory.

Her process often involves the construction of small architectural sculptures, recording different facets of their images using photogrammic methods, and reassembling the fragments to shape new forms.

Benedicto currently lives and works in Manila.
